From sand greens to grass, this course has always been built by the hands of its members. Here's what we're building now — and what came before.

The Pavilion

Now standing beside the clubhouse: a community pavilion built for tournament check-ins, the ladies' famous noon meals, steak fries, awards nights, and summer gatherings — shade and shelter for the whole community, rain or shine.

Like every project before it, the pavilion rose the F&H way — on donated labor, donated materials, and the generosity of the donors who made it possible.

The Legacy

Built Before Us

Every fairway, green, and building here was earned. A few of the projects that made F&H what it is:

1988

Grass Greens

The dream that defined the course. Over 3,000 donated man-hours, 1,000 yards of hauled sand, and 17,000 feet of water pipe turned the sand-green nine into watered grass — for a fraction of the $300,000 it should have cost.

Cart Sheds

The Quonset & Sheds

A donated farm quonset, taken apart piece by numbered piece and hauled to the course rather than pay a mover $4,000. Lean-tos and sheds followed as the cart count grew — all member labor.

Clubhouse

The Clubhouse

The original farmhouse, remodeled room by room into the clubhouse — walls knocked out, kitchen and baths added, floors sanded and carpeted, the roof and porch built by volunteers.

1989

Fairway Irrigation & Seeding

Watering lines laid and the fairways seeded, so the grass dream reached tee to green. Rocks hauled out, paths cut, and asphalt cart paths added — nearly all of it donated.
